3D product visualization - cabinet system
Interior and furniture: CGI (3D visualization) as product images for the special built-in wardrobe from interlübke
Interior and furniture: CGI (3D visualization) as product images for the special built-in wardrobe by interlübke
In cooperation with interlübke and designer Hanne Willmann we were allowed to tackle another project. This time, product images were to be created that do not simply show furniture, but a built-in wardrobe in different interiors. For our CGI artists this meant: They were allowed to render the different versions of the cabinet, render interiors and bring everything together in the final 3D visualization. The special feature of the built-in cabinet: Different versions are available for the surfaces and handles. We were allowed to digitally create the different handle shapes as well as the individual materials. As always, the goal of the product images was to give customers as comprehensive an impression as possible of the built-in cabinet and its functions. The surface structures of the various materials available can be experienced by means of light guidance and cleverly placed shadows. The clear design and high functionality of the built-in wardrobe with its individual elements are revealed in the detailed views.
Built-in wardrobe according to individual specifications
interlübke offers a wide range of furniture, all of which can be individually configured. In this project, the challenge for our CGI specialists was to make the different materials tangible to all the senses. So it should not only be about a 3D visualization of cabinets in interiors, but about the surfaces with their individual structures, the haptics of the handles, the room atmosphere.
The latter is not only defined by colors and materials, but also results from the respective individual configuration of the cabinets. Open elements, lighting of various kinds and division of doors and interiors according to one's own taste allow for quite different effects. We had, we must admit, a lot of fun with the collect plus cabinet model. Timeless, innovative and full of clarity - this is the concept behind collect plus. The cabinets are individually fitted and made to measure, so in a sense our CGI artists had a free hand in designing the product images.
Matt lacquers, metal lacquers, wood, fabric, clear glass, frosted glass - a challenge!
The charm of this furniture lies in its purist design, which emphasizes functionality and fades into the background in any living environment. However, collect plus does not become invisible, but remains as a design element in the room. Different heights, niches and superstructures, open shelves and glazed showcases are among the modules from which the final cabinet is individually assembled. Open elements can be equipped with illuminated shelves, showcases are illuminated from the room inwards by integrated light sources. interlübke is in demand internationally, the purist, clear design language of the furniture fits wonderfully with bags, shoes, accessories and clothing from the high-priced segment. And we took all of this into account in every single 3D visualization.
Therefore, our renderings not only show different ways of designing the built-in wardrobe. But we also dealt with different lighting situations, completely different rooms and room layouts as well as the entire interior. Our artists have created a digital twin of a possible configuration of the cabinet in each 3D visualization. Each CGI is a 1:1 translation of the real piece of furniture into digital space. Most importantly, Hanne Willmann, now honored as one of the Top 100 AD, was allowed to design the handles in their different variations. It was of course an honor for us to specifically bring out these great designs in our renderings! The product images should clearly show when a handle is made of brown or black leather and how the material fits into its environment.
FAQ
What is the aim of the 3D product visualization project?
The aim of this project is to create detailed wardrobe product images that give customers a comprehensive impression of the built-in cabinet and its functions. These 3D visualizations do not merely showcase the furniture, but rather depict it within different interior settings - brand spaces we designed together with Hanne Willmann.
What unique aspects does the 3D visualization focus on?
Our 3D visualization focuses on various unique elements of the cabinet such as its surfaces, individual structures, handle shapes, and different materials. We've paid special attention to the haptic details, like the feel of the handles, the room's atmosphere, and the cabinet's configuration effects.
How are the different cabinet materials showcased in the 3D visualization?
How are the different cabinet materials showcased in the 3D visualization?
What elements of the design were specifically highlighted in the project?
In addition to the overall look of the built-in cabinet, we emphasized the design elements like clear glass, frosted glass, matt lacquers, metal lacquers, wood, fabric, and the design variations of the handles.
How did the room's atmosphere influence the 3D visualization?
The room's atmosphere in the visualization was defined not only by colors and materials but also by the individual configuration of the cabinets, different lighting situations, room layouts, and the entire interior.
Are the visualizations an exact representation of the furniture?
Yes, each CGI visualization is a 1:1 translation of the real piece of furniture into the digital space. They represent a digital twin of a possible configuration of the cabinet.
How did the team approach this project?
Our CGI artists rendered the different versions of the cabinet and interiors, then brought everything together in the final 3D visualization. They enjoyed the freedom of designing the product images for the individually fitted and made-to-measure collect plus cabinet model.
